The music centuries ago

Guqin is an old Chinese musical instruments with more than 3000 years history. In 2003, guqin music was proclaimed as one of the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
My story with Guqin does not begin like a typical one. Actually I was totally immersed in drawing and Chinese calligraphy when I was a child. The truth is, I never had an overwhelming desire to touch music at that time, no matter classical or popular.
Until the year, 2008, when I was sparked, that is!
I’m still curious what was the exact spark, but failed to obtain a reasonable conclusion. So I have to sum up as fate, the one I belong.
Some part of my life changed in 2008. For the better:)
I learned how to read the specialist and unique tablature & notation that was developed over the centuries and a variety of Guqin playing techniques in the first year study and am continuing the senior pieces. The more I immerse in Guqin music, the deeper I fell in love with it. It’s something very magical that I feel my day won’t be complete if I don’t touch my instrument.
When I’m playing, I just feel everything of this world get peace and my mind is rested in the ultimate tranquility. I’m really addicted to this wonderful feelings.
