Currency & Exchange

Suzhou uses only Chinese currency RMB. The unit of RMB is Yuan and the fractional currency is Jiao and Fen. 1 Yuan equals 10 Jiao and 1Jiao equals 10 Fen. The abbreviated symbol of RMB is ￥.

The exchange of main foreign currencies in cash is handled by Bank of China and other foreign exchange nominated banks. Some hotels, marketplaces and airports also handle exchange of foreign currencies to RMB.  USD 1 is now about RMB 6.8.  Note: please follow up the latest exchange rate of the daily published by the bank.
